Kloster Kreuzberg
Kloster Kreuzberg is the best-known combination of pilgrimage, mountain and beer on the Bavarian side. The official Rhön and monastery websites provide information about the brewery and restaurant. A visit consists of the ascent or journey, the monastery setting and a possible meal.
Brewery, restaurant and tour are distinct offers. Anyone wanting production access needs explicit current information; a working brewery does not imply access without a booking.
Ostheim vor der Rhön
Ostheim is a small town with a fortified church and two different beer addresses: Strecks Brauhaus and Pax-Bräu. The businesses have their own models and visitor information. They are not at Kloster Kreuzberg and belong to a separate town day or meal.
The fortified church is the cultural centre of the visit. One of the beer addresses can follow it. After the fortified church, visit either Strecks or Pax according to their opening hours.
Roth and Rother Bräu
Rother Bräu is in Roth near Hausen within the Rhön. The regional producer page lists the brewery and its visitor services. As with the other rural addresses, establish whether a shop, hospitality or visitor access is available. The village is its own leg, not a walk from Ostheim.
Bad Neustadt and Oberelsbach
Bad Neustadt can serve as a rail-connected accommodation town with an old centre and spa setting. Oberelsbach lies closer to nature and walking destinations. Both places combine nature and cultural sights with regional food and drink.

Transport and weather
Rail reaches Bad Neustadt; the final legs to Kreuzberg, Ostheim, Roth and walking starts need bus, taxi, bicycle or car. Upland weather and winter conditions change paths. The driver remains alcohol-free; anyone eating on the mountain should solve the return before ascending.
When to stay overnight
An overnight stay is useful when the main activity is a longer Kreuzberg walk, when rural bus connections end early or when the visit includes an evening meal. Bad Neustadt provides the clearest rail connection; accommodation nearer the mountain reduces the final transfer but requires its own arrival plan.
