This website includes an optional AI chat assistant (“Fränki”). If you use the chat, your entered messages, a shortened conversation context and technical information such as IP address, timestamp and a local session identifier are processed.
This processing is used to answer questions about Franconian beer culture, breweries, beer cellars, beer styles, beer hiking, food and travel planning, to prevent abuse, enforce usage limits and protect the technical and economic security of the website.
The chat is operated through an interface provided by xAI. Your chat messages and relevant conversation context may be transmitted to xAI and processed there in order to generate an answer. Please do not enter confidential, sensitive or personal information that is not necessary for your request.
We do not permanently store chat histories in our own database. For abuse prevention, technical access data and rate-limit information may be processed temporarily. xAI states that API inputs and outputs are not used for training without explicit permission. According to xAI, API requests and responses may be stored for up to 30 days to audit potential abuse or misuse and are then automatically deleted.
